About the development
Exclusive gated community comprising villas and apartments in Antas, Porto, next to the well-known Praça Velasquez, spanning 15,500 square meters and featuring a heated indoor pool, a steam room, gardens with large trees, a cave and a lake, surrounded by a wall that provides total comfort, quality, security, and privacy.
The project was designed by renowned architect Eduardo Souto de Moura, winner of the Pritzker Prize and the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale.
The project was born from the outstanding renovation of Quinta da Casa Amarela, formerly Casa dos Cepêda, which dates back to the 18th century, with its romantic palaces, coat of arms (a symbol of courage and bravery), a three-meter high wall, and an imposing iron gate.
The project comprises 27 units ranging from one- to five-bedroom dwellings, including four-bedroom duplex options: nine apartments and four villas resulting from the renovation of old romantic palaces, and 14 brand new contemporary-style villas.
Completion will be phased between April and December 2020, depending on the blocks.
With sustainability concerns, the project features geothermics, solar panels, landscaped rooftops, and an automatic irrigation system with water from existing wells.
Luxury finishes include pivoting doors, Botticini marble up to 2m, lacquered wood, afzelia flooring, underfloor heating and cooling (with dew point control), pre-installed air conditioning and central heating, home automation system, hydraulic elevators, anodized aluminum or natural varnished wood exterior window frames with thermal break, electric shutters, and central vacuum cleaning system.
