Costa de Prata is located in the country's West Region (between Mafra and Alcobaça), a fertile region well known due to its vineyards, enclosed between the Atlantic Ocean and the Montejunto's mountain embankment.
Under many aspects it is a privileged region, some of them being its beautiful coastline with fine sand beaches and impressive cliffs and places of an extreme beauty, such as the Berlengas archipelago, Carvoeiro Cape and Óbidos lagoon, an unique place for windsurf practice. Also Vimeiro and Cucos' hot springs, archaeological stations and monuments, constitute other complementarities to the Region's tourism offer.
The golf adepts have in the West their youngest destination in Portugal, actually with 5 courses: Praia D'El Rey (Óbidos), Golden Eagle (Rio Maior) and Campo Real (Turcifal) with 18 holes, Vimeiro and Botado.
Very soon new projects shall reinforce the offer for the practice of this sport. This Region can easily be accessed from the Lisbon International Airport through the highway A8 (Lisboa - Leiria) and other road accessibilities.
